Raleigh’s Summer Youth Employment Program: Apply by March 31

RALEIGH, NC – Teens looking for a summer job that builds skills, provides mentorship and offers hands-on experience have until March 31 to apply for the Raleigh Summer Youth Employment Program. This seven-week program is designed to help 200 young people explore career opportunities while earning money and developing essential workplace skills.

Program Highlights

Participants will:

  • Gain valuable work experience with the City of Raleigh
  • Learn financial literacy, leadership, and professional skills
  • Receive mentorship from firefighters, law enforcement, business owners, and professionals from Bank of America & UNC Health
  • Discover career pathways and develop workforce readiness

Eligibility Requirements

To apply, you must:

  • Be 15-18 years old by May 31, 2025
  • Live within Raleigh city limits
  • Be available to work June 16 – August 8, 2025
  • Attend mandatory orientation on May 17
  • Not be enrolled in summer school
  • Pass a Criminal Record Check & Drug Screening
