Woman Charged in Raleigh Shooting That Left Man Injured

RALEIGH, NC – A woman has been charged following a Friday night shooting that left one man hospitalized with non-life-threatening injuries.

The incident occurred on Friday, March 28, 2025, at approximately 8:41 p.m. in the 5900 block of Applewood Lane. Raleigh Police officers responded to reports of a shooting and found an adult man suffering from a single gunshot wound. He was transported to the hospital for treatment.

As the investigation unfolded, police identified 31-year-old Brittany Jeanne Dixon as the suspect. She has been charged with:

  • Assault with a Deadly Weapon with Intent to Kill Inflicting Serious Injury

This remains an ongoing investigation.
