Mother and Toddler Found Safe After Armed Kidnapping and Ransom Demand in Garner

GARNER, N.C. — A woman and her one-year-old daughter who were abducted at gunpoint in Garner have been safely located, bringing relief to family members and the broader community after a tense overnight search.

According to authorities, the kidnapping took place late Monday night, triggering an Amber Alert across North Carolina. The suspects reportedly demanded a staggering $1 million ransom for the safe return of the victims.

Law enforcement agencies from multiple jurisdictions, including the Garner Police Department and the Wake County Sheriff’s Office, launched a coordinated effort to track down the suspects and recover the victims.

Early Tuesday morning, both the mother and child were found unharmed in Wake Forest. The Amber Alert was subsequently canceled.
