Ruth & Boaz

Tyler Perry’s Ruth & Boaz Reimagines a Biblical Love Story with a Modern, Southern Twist

In a bold and emotional reimagining of one of the Bible’s most beloved love stories, Ruth & Boaz brings timeless faith, romance, and redemption into a modern Southern setting. With the power of faith, redemption, and romance, Tyler Perry and DeVon Franklin join forces to deliver a stirring modern adaptation that blends Southern heart with spiritual depth.

Modern Faith Meets Real-World Struggles

Set in Tennessee, Ruth & Boaz follows a young woman who flees the chaos of the Atlanta music scene to care for an elderly widow. In doing so, she gains not only a spiritual mother figure—but discovers a profound love that transforms her life.

This contemporary take on the Book of Ruth is steeped in heartache, healing, and divine timing, tackling universal themes of loyalty, family, grief, and grace.
