Breaking News: Apex Police Call Off Search for Fugitive Wanted on Sex Offense Warrants
APEX, N.C. – After hours of intense operations involving drones, K-9 units, and a heavy law enforcement presence, Apex Police have officially called off the search for a wanted fugitive who fled earlier this morning.
Suspect Still at Large

Police say the man, identified as a Hispanic male approximately 5 feet tall, fled from officers attempting to serve multiple warrants tied to sex offenses. He was last seen wearing a bright neon yellow long-sleeve shirt and a ball cap.
Authorities set up a perimeter in a wooded area near Lufkin Road and East Williams Street but were unable to locate the suspect.
Public Urged to Stay Vigilant
Although the active search has ended, Apex PD is urging residents to remain on alert and immediately dial 911 if they see anyone matching the suspect’s description.
“Please continue to be on the lookout for this wanted fugitive and call 911 immediately if you see him. Thank you for your patience and support,” police stated in their latest update.
Police Presence Winds Down
