BET is turning up the heat this fall with 106 & Sports, a fresh, culture-driven spin on the iconic 106 & Park franchise. The new series brings together NFL MVP and entrepreneur Cam Newton and rising sports media star Ashley Nicole Moss for a high-energy countdown of the week’s biggest sports and culture moments.
Meet the Hosts
Cam Newton is no stranger to the spotlight. The Heisman Trophy winner, NFL MVP, and former Carolina Panthers quarterback is widely recognized as one of the most dynamic players in football history, holding the record for most career rushing touchdowns by a quarterback. But Newton’s influence extends far beyond the field — he’s built a thriving media and business empire through his parent company, NJC Ventures.
Newton runs Iconic Saga Productions, the powerhouse behind his popular YouTube channels and podcasts, including Funky Friday and 4th&1. He recently inked a multi-year deal with ESPN as a regular voice on First Take and is now bringing that same unfiltered energy to 106 & Sports, where he promises fans “real talk and authentic insights” every week.
Ashley Nicole Moss, a New York native, is one of the fastest-rising talents in sports media. She currently serves as a basketball analyst and sideline reporter for CBS Sports, where she hosts the weekly NBA show Triple Threat. Known for her knowledge and bold commentary, she has appeared on platforms like LeBron James’ Uninterrupted (Certified Buckets) and SNY as an NBA contributor, and was named to Forbes’ 30 Under 30 list in 2023. Ashley brings a mix of journalistic credibility and trendsetting style that makes her the perfect co-host for BET’s newest flagship series.

106 & Sports promises a Top 10 countdown unlike anything else on television — blending highlights, pop culture moments, music drops, and live audience energy. Each episode features athlete interviews, celebrity cameos, and fearless debates on the biggest stories of the week.

The 10-episode debut season kicks off Wednesday, Oct. 15 at 10/9c on BET, with new episodes dropping weekly and streaming the next day on BET+ through December 17.
