Wake County Teen Hospitalized After Daytime Shooting on Ruby Drive, Deputies Say
Raleigh, NC — The Wake County Sheriff’s Office is investigating a Monday afternoon shooting that left a teenager seriously injured near Raleigh.
Deputies were called around 1 p.m. on October 20 to the 4200 block of Ruby Drive, where they found a juvenile suffering from a gunshot wound. The victim was transported to a nearby hospital with life-threatening injuries, according to officials.
Authorities say there is no known threat to the public, and investigators remained at the scene throughout the afternoon collecting evidence and interviewing witnesses.
