OWN’s “For the Holidays” Returns With Three All-New Movies Celebrating Black Love, Laughter & Holiday Magic

LOS ANGELES — The Oprah Winfrey Network (OWN) is unwrapping another season of heart-warming storytelling with the return of its OWN For the Holidays movie event. Now in its seventh year, the beloved holiday lineup delivers three brand-new original films—each celebrating the joy, connection, and culture of Black family traditions.

The festive premieres begin Saturday, Nov. 29 at 9 p.m. ET/PT and continue for three consecutive Saturdays through Dec. 13, featuring a dynamic mix of beloved stars and rising talent.

“Fake Yourself a Merry Little Christmas”

Starring Kiki Layne and Etienne Maurice

OWN For The Holidays. “The Christmas Showdown”

Both women set their sights on the same event design job for the upcoming Sugar Heights Christmas Eve Spectacular. But to impress Hen (Devine), the event producer overseeing the show, they’ll need to mend old wounds and work as a team. What begins as a friendly rivalry quickly escalates to an all-out holiday showdown.  

“Very Merry Mystery”

When she attends a Christmas Murder Mystery party at the mansion of a hard-nosed businesswoman, the evening takes a shocking turn when the host goes missing and a ransom note is found. To solve the crime, Bea must team up with her boyfriend, Troy (Mack Wilds), who is also a newly promoted detective.
