WEST POINT, N.Y. – No. 4 Duke raced past Army West Point, 114-59, in front of a record crowd of 5,326 at Christl Arena on Tuesday, Nov. 11. The Blue Devils (3-0) made nine three-pointers in the first half and were led by Dame Sarr, who finished with 19 points.

Six Blue Devils finished in double figures, with Sarr joined by Isaiah Evans (17), Patrick Ngongba II (16), Cameron Boozer (15), Darren Harris (15) and Cayden Boozer (10).

Duke’s defense limited the Black Knights to 12-of-49 from beyond the arc and 21-of-68 from the field overall.

Isaiah Evans quickly got Duke on the board, connecting on a three-pointer just 14 seconds into the contest. The two teams traded triples as the Black Knights knotted the score, 8-8, after two minutes of action.

The Blue Devils remained hot from beyond the arc, with Evans and Dame Sarr going back-to-back to build a six-point lead, 14-8. Following an alley-oop dunk by Sarr and a forced shot-clock violation, Duke increased its lead to nine, 21-12 with 13:43 on the clock.

Evans pushed Duke’s lead to 20 points, 48-28, after the sophomore found the basket for the fourth time from beyond the arc. The Blue Devils ended the half on a 12-2 scoring run and entered the locker room with 49-30 advantage.

A 17-0 burst across a six-minute span expanded the lead to 35 points, 68-33, to start the second half. Duke maintained its comfortable lead, 76-39, at the halfway mark after intermission.

Patrick Ngongba II’s fourth dunk of the night pushed Duke over 100 points and Harris hit his third shot from deep to make it a 104-52 score with just over three minutes remaining as the Blue Devils completed the victory.

Duke’s 114 points Tuesday are the most scored by the Blue Devils since a season-opening 118-84 victory over Kentucky on Nov. 6, 2018, in the Champions Classic in Indianapolis.

The Blue Devils amassed 65 points in the second half against Army, the most points scored in a half under Scheyer.

The Blue Devils shot 70.0% (21-of-30) from the field after intermission, Duke’s best shooting half since the 2023-24 season.

No. 4 Duke returns home Friday, Nov. 14, welcoming Indiana State to Cameron Indoor Stadium at 7 PM.
