NC State might have found a starting Quarterback
NC State brought in Boise State’s former offensive coordinator Eliah Drinkwitz to take on the same role in Raleigh. A few days ago, Former BSU quarterback Ryan Finley decided to transfer in to NC State for graduate school to be with his former coach. Drinkwitz worked with the QB’s while at Boise St, building a bond between him and Finley. Finley only appeared in three games before being injured and replaced for the season. This could be the best time for the grad student to shine. They have a new OC, solid options on the outside and backfield, and they have a tough O-line that will be led by another graduate transfer Joe Scelfo at the center position. It could be possible that Finley could split time with Jalan McClendon, who was projected to start after Jacoby Brissett found himself with the New England Patriots in the recent draft. It will be interesting to see how the situation plays out. I imagine that whoever starts out for the Wolfpack will have himself in a good spot.
