[#Motiv8Mondays] Mr. #BOSSUP aka Red Jones: Featured Artist Of The Week

Mr. #BOSSUP, also known as “RED JONES,” is an artist based out of the Raleigh/Durham area (919), but originally hales from Henderson, North Carolina (252)! RED JONES is “here to change the game in my own way like never before. #BOSSUP is what the game has been missing!” 

His music career started in school with making beats on his desk and on the counters at home because he simply just loved to vibe. RED JONES didn’t hone in on his craft, however, until college when his then roommate, Monroe, who was the greatest rapper alive to him, inspired him to not only make beats by hand while he freestyled, but to also get in the booth. His own voice blew him away! He now creates “lit, yet cool” music to vibe to. 

RED JONES is heavily influenced by Yo Gotti and Jay-Z. They both have “great leadership and they don’t mind creating their own lane, and that’s the route I took. You know, BOSS moves only! Which is why #BOSSUP is a standard in the way of my life.” He is self-motivated and driven by the urge to make a massive impact in his own way.
