Channing Bennett Named New Principal for Glenwood Elementary
Chapel Hill, NC – Channing Bennett has been hired as the new principal of Glenwood Elementary, the Chapel Hill-Carrboro City Schools Board of Education announced today (September 12th).
Mr. Bnnett is currently the school’s assistant principal, where he has worked since 2017. Prior to his arrival at Glenwood, Mr. Bennett was an administrative intern at Morris Grove Elementary. He also served as an instructional technology facilitator and science teacher at Smith Middle School, where he was selected as the school’s Teacher of the Year and a district finalist.
As a North Carolina Teaching Fellow, Mr. Bennett earned both his Bachelor of Arts and Master of School Administration from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. He currently serves as a Board Member and Curriculum & Programming Director at Dreams 2 Life, Inc., a Research Triangle Park (NC) based non-profit taking a holistic approach to developing the next generation of leaders with an entrepreneurial spirit.
