Raleigh, NC – People are seeing stars at word gets out that Leslie Odom Jr., of Hamilton fame, is touring to Raleigh! Best known for his Tony and Grammy Award-winning performance as Aaron Burr in the original cast of Broadway mega-hit Hamilton, and for his part in the musical TV series Smash, Leslie Odom, Jr. will join the spectacular North Carolina Symphony on Friday, October 18 and Saturday, October 19 at 8 pm.
The triple-threat singer, dancer, and actor — who is getting ready to release a new album — will perform his specially curated selection of Broadway and jazz hits at this highly anticipated show at Meymandi Concert Hall at the Duke Energy Center for the Performing Arts.
Odom, Jr. originated the role of ‘Burr’ in a sold-out run at The Public Theatre in 2015, earning a Drama Desk Award nomination for Outstanding Featured Actor in a Musical and a Lucille Lortel Award nomination for Outstanding Lead Actor in a Musical. He made his Broadway debut at the age of 17 in “Rent” and, in addition to his Tony and Grammy wins, is the recipient of a 2002 Princess Grace Award for Acting.
