How To Make Your Business Stand Out

Competition in business should, for the most part, be seen as a positive thing. Although there can be some big disputes such as the one involving Moon Pod right now when it comes to unique ideas and patents, this usually only occurs when one company is accused of stealing whole ideas or products. It’s unfortunate and difficult for all involved, but thankfully, in most cases, competition is much less direct than that, and although you might not like the fact that other people are doing something similar to you, you can use it to your advantage by stepping up your marketing game and standing out from the crowd. Here are some ideas that you can take on board and try for yourself if you want to stand out in business.

Amazing Customer Service

Around one-third of consumers are more than happy to take their business elsewhere if they experience poor levels of customer service just once, even if they’ve had good experiences in the past. You can’t afford to lose a third of your customers in this way, especially since those people who didn’t feel they were treated well will go to your competitors and spend their money there instead.

This is why you must always, no matter what, offer the very best in customer service. By being the best in this way, you are much more likely to pick up the customers your competitors are losing, rather than the other way around. The key to success in business, and the key to standing out above anyone else, is to ensure your customer service is second to none.

 Make Your Branding Noticed

Did you know that it only takes 10 seconds for someone to form a first impression of your business? If you want that first impression to be a good one, and you want to get ahead of your competition at the same time, you’ll need to have branding that stands out and is noticed – it should be easily recognizable too.

Try to think of something that really differentiates you from everyone else in your sector. If the majority of your competition uses blue in their branding, use green or purple or black or anything other than blue. If they all use a certain image or word, use something different. Of course, you don’t want to do anything that is going to detract from what you do, but equally, you don’t want to get lost in the crowd. Often a branding expert is the best person to speak to in this regard.

Reward Customer Loyalty

The figures show that customers are going to spend around 66 percent more with a brand they feel loyal to, and if you want to ensure that loyalty, you might choose to implement a loyalty scheme. Not only will this be different from the majority of your competitors because loyalty schemes aren’t the norm just yet, but it will also encourage people to spend their money with you, and not even think about looking around – why would they when they can be rewarded for buying from your business? What would be the point of searching elsewhere?

With this in mind, your loyalty scheme will need to be worth getting involved with for your customers. They won’t be overly bothered about staying loyal and only buying from you if the rewards aren’t going to be something they want.
