Man Robbed And Shot In Broad Daylight In Durham
Durham, NC – At approximately 11:00 a.m. Tuesday (April 25), Durham County Sheriff’s Office personnel were called to the 1700 block of S. Miami Blvd near US 70 after it was reported that a person had been shot.
There, deputies located a single victim with non-life-threatening injuries to his lower extremities. The male victim, who is not being identified at this time, told deputies that he was approached at gunpoint by the suspect who demanded his wallet. After giving his wallet to the suspect he attempted to flee and was shot. He was transported to a local hospital for treatment of his injuries.
Witnesses at the scene reported that the suspect was seen running into a nearby wooded area. Durham County Sheriff’s Office K9 responded, and a search was conducted, however, the suspect could not be located. Sheriff’s Office investigators are currently questioning witnesses and gathering evidence in this ongoing investigation.
The perpetrator seen in the attached photo is described as a black male approx. 6′ tall with a slender build. He was wearing green pants, a long sleeve black shirt, black shoes, and a black headscarf.
