Alisha Watts Remains Found, Boyfriend Arrested
The Montgomery County Sheriff’s Office said the remains of Alisha Watts have been found.
It was learned a body was found in the area of Norman, a small town along Interstate 74. Watts, who lived in Moore County, has been missing for over a month.
Watts’ boyfriend, James Dunmore has been taken into custody and arrested for murder. Earlier Thursday (Aug. 24), a body was found in connection with her disappearance. Investigators have now confirmed the body belonged to Watts.
Heavy police presence was on the scene at the Norman Community Cemetery along Cemetery Road near the Richmond/Montgomery County line. Moore County Sheriff’s Office deputies were gathered at the cemetery.
Watts’ boyfriend Dunmore, whom Watts was last seen with on July 16, was taken into custody at his Charlotte-area home by police.
