Durham Police Arrest Four In Connection With October 2023 Homicide
DURHAM, NC – The Durham Police Department has charged and arrested four individuals in connection with the fatal shooting of Semar Barbour, 19, of Durham, that occurred in October 2023.
On October 24, 2023, Barbour was reported missing to Durham Police.
On November 13, 2023, Barbour was found in a vehicle in the 300 block of Walnut Woods Drive in Morrisville, North Carolina. He had suffered from gunshot wounds and was pronounced deceased at the scene.
Upon further investigation, it was determined Barbour had been shot and killed in the 1000 block of Delray Street in Durham on October 23, 2023.
Three men and one woman have been charged in connection with Barbour’s murder. They were taken into custody this week with the assistance of Durham Police’s Selective Enforcement Team (SET), the Gang Unit, and the Carolinas Regional Fugitive Task Force. The four individuals face the following charges and are currently being held in the Durham County Jail with no bond:
Phillip Maurice Williams Jr., 18, of Durham
Charges: Murder and Conspiracy to Commit Murder
Nakia Montell Williams, 48, of Durham
Charges: Murder, Conspiracy to Commit Murder, and Concealment of Death
Theodore Cash, 68, of Durham
Charges: Accessory After the Fact (Murder)
Shelia Frazier Cash, 68, of Durham
Charges: Accessory After the Fact (Murder)
