Broad Day Shooting Leaves Teen Injured
DURHAM, NC — At around 3:45 p.m. on Tuesday (April 23), deputies from the Durham County Sheriff’s Office responded to the intersection of Barbee Chapel and Farrington Mill Roads for the report of a person shot. The investigation has determined the victim, who is 16 years of age, had been injured at another location and driven to this general area where a bystander called for assistance.
EMS also responded to the scene and transported the teen to an area hospital with a gunshot wound to the face. Their injury is believed to be serious but non-life threatening.
