NCCU Homecoming 2024: Tye Tribbett, Hezekiah Walker, JT, Angie Stone Headline Concert Lineup

DURHAM, NC – Get ready for an unforgettable week filled with celebration, tradition, and entertainment as North Carolina Central University (NCCU) hosts The Ultimate Homecoming Experience in Durham from Saturday, Oct. 20, through Saturday, Oct. 26, 2024. This year’s celebration promises to be the best yet, with electrifying performances from some of the biggest names in the music industry. Whether you’re a student, an alumnus, or part of the community, there’s something for everyone to enjoy as NCCU brings the energy and excitement to Durham. Don’t miss this incredible homecoming lineup! 

Ultimate Homecoming Concerts

Starting the week with a bang, on Sunday, Oct. 20 at 5 p.m., experience the Ultimate Gospel Experience featuring Grammy-winning artists Tye Tribbett and Hezekiah Walker. This uplifting concert will be held on campus at the McDougald-McLendon Arena.

Then, on Thursday, Oct. 24, prepare for a Florida takeover at the Ultimate Hip-Hop Concert. Miami rap star JT will headline, along with performances from Luh Tyler and Lil Poppa. The show starts at 7 p.m. in McDougald-McLendon Arena.

For alumni, the soulful Angie Stone will serenade attendees at the Alumni Concert on Friday, Oct. 25. Raleigh’s own NiiTO Band will also take the stage. The concert begins at 8 p.m. at the Sheraton Imperial Hotel, 4700 Emperor Blvd., in Durham.

The Ultimate Homecoming Experience doesn’t stop with music. Here’s a rundown of the week’s signature events.

• The Ultimate Throw Back Thursday: Old School Greek Stroll Off, 10:40 a.m. – 12 p.m., James E. Shepard Library Bowl.

• 77th Founder’s Day and Class of 1974 Induction into the Society of Golden Eagles, 9 – 11 a.m., McDougald-McLendon Arena.
