Wake County Bus Driver Charged with Breaking 3-Year-Old’s Leg
ZEBULON, NC – A Wake County school bus driver accused of breaking a 3-year-old child’s leg is set to appear in court on Tuesday (Nov. 19).
Tiffian Truesdale, 42, faces a felony charge of child abuse inflicting serious injury. According to court documents, the incident occurred while Truesdale was transporting the child from Durant Road Elementary School to a daycare facility.
Truesdale, an employee of Student Transportation of America, an independent transportation company, was responsible for the care of the preschool student at the time.
Authorities have confirmed that the child suffered a fractured left femur but have not disclosed details about how the injury occurred. A warrant was issued for Truesdale, accusing her of intentional child abuse causing serious physical harm.
Truesdale is currently being held on a $75,000 bond and is scheduled to appear in court at 1:30 p.m. Tuesday at the Wake County Justice Center.
