2 Teens Arrested After Police Chase and Crash in Creedmoor Injures 9
CREEDMOOR, NC — Two teens in a stolen car led Creedmoor Police on a high-speed chase Friday afternoon that ended in multiple crashes, leaving nine people injured and causing significant damage.
The incident began just before 3:30 p.m. on December 13 when police were alerted about a stolen black 2006 Nissan 350Z traveling northbound on US Highway 15. Officers quickly located the vehicle on North Main Street, but when the teenage driver spotted police, he accelerated, sparking the dangerous chain of events.
The stolen car first caused a three-vehicle crash at Main Street and Wilton Avenue. Undeterred, the teens continued west on Wilton Avenue, where they collided with two more vehicles at the intersection of North Durham Avenue and Wilton Avenue.
Following the second crash, the teens—ages 17 and 15—abandoned the vehicle and attempted to flee on foot. Police apprehended them shortly afterward.
Authorities confirmed that nine people sustained minor injuries in the crashes. Fortunately, no life-threatening injuries were reported.
The stolen Nissan was initially reported missing in Raleigh. Creedmoor Police have not released additional details about potential charges or the identities of the teens due to their ages.
This incident remains under investigation, and authorities urge anyone with information to contact the Creedmoor Police Department.
