Durham Police Investigate Fatal Shooting on E. Carver Street
DURHAM, NC — Durham Police are investigating a fatal shooting that occurred early Monday morning near the intersection of E. Carver Street and Commons Boulevard.
At approximately 1:30 a.m. on December 23, officers responded to reports of a shooting in the area. Upon arrival, they discovered a crashed vehicle with an adult male victim inside who had suffered a gunshot wound. The victim was pronounced dead at the scene.
The investigation is ongoing, and authorities have not yet released further details about the incident or the victim.
As part of the investigation, E. Carver Street remains closed between N. Roxboro Street and Meriwether Drive. Drivers are advised to avoid the area and seek alternate routes.
