Raleigh Teen Arrested for Firing Gun Into Occupied Home on Bickett Blvd

RALEIGH, NC — Raleigh Police have arrested an 18-year-old suspect in connection with a May shooting where multiple gunshots were fired into an occupied residence in east Raleigh.
Likim Simari Leach, of Raleigh, was taken into custody on Thursday, June 12, 2025, and now faces multiple felony charges related to the incident.
Shooting incident on Bickett Blvd
The shooting occurred on Sunday, May 4, 2025, at approximately 1:00 a.m. Officers responded to reports of gunfire in the 1600 block of Bickett Blvd.
Police determined that during a dispute, the suspect allegedly fired several gunshots into an occupied home, endangering the residents inside. Fortunately, no injuries were reported.
Arrest and charges
Following an investigation, detectives identified Likim Simari Leach (18) as the suspect. He was arrested on June 12 and charged with the following offenses:
- Discharge Weapon Into Occupied Property
- Discharge Firearms in City Limits
- Going Armed to the Terror of the Public
