Addressing Health Disparities

“Black health and wellness is an issue our organization has championed since its inception in 1946,” Sills said. “We are still finding disparities that shorten life expectancy. This event is a fun way to shine a light on the issue while providing tangible solutions.”

“We are committed to serving and uplifting the African American community through the many resources provided at our annual Black Family Wellness Expo,” Everett said. “Please join us for your free wellness check, a fun-filled Kids Zone, and great giveaways.”
Raleigh (NC) Chapter President Kimberly Williams noted that the collaborative event reflects months of planning aimed at helping families build healthier lifestyles.
“At the end of the day, we hope men and women find support for their journey toward better health,” Williams said. “We look forward to sharing resources that speak to all generations.”
