Duke MBB Announces Full 2026 Schedule
DURHAM, N.C. – Duke men’s basketball announced its complete non-conference schedule for the 2026-27 season Friday.
The Blue Devils’ 14-game non-conference lineup is highlighted by previously announced matchups against Michigan State, Illinois, Washington State, Connecticut, Florida, Harvard, Georgia, Texas Tech and Gonzaga. The schedule features seven games away from Cameron Indoor Stadium, including two appearances at Madison Square Garden and neutral-site contests in Chicago, Las Vegas, Detroit and Palm Desert, California.
Duke begins its fifth season under head coach Jon Scheyer with consecutive home games against Army on Monday, Nov. 2, and Coastal Carolina on Thursday, Nov. 5. The Blue Devils then travel to the United Center in Chicago to meet Michigan State in the State Farm Champions Classic on Tuesday, Nov. 10.
After returning to Cameron Indoor Stadium to host SIU Edwardsville on Friday, Nov. 13, and Illinois on Tuesday, Nov. 17, Duke heads west for two neutral-site contests. The Blue Devils face Washington State in the Acrisure Series on Saturday, Nov. 21, at Acrisure Arena in Palm Desert, California, before taking on Connecticut on Wednesday, Nov. 25, at T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas.
The December schedule opens with Duke visiting Florida for the ACC/SEC Challenge on Tuesday, Dec. 1. The Blue Devils return to Durham to welcome Harvard for the Brotherhood Run on Friday, Dec. 4, before traveling to New York to play Georgia in the Jimmy V Classic on Tuesday, Dec. 8, at Madison Square Garden.
Duke closes its non-conference home slate with matchups against Campbell on Tuesday, Dec. 15, and Grambling State on Thursday, Dec. 17. The Blue Devils make their second December appearance at Madison Square Garden on Monday, Dec. 21, when they square off against Texas Tech.
The final non-conference game is scheduled for Saturday, Feb. 20, as Duke meets Gonzaga at Little Caesars Arena in Detroit.
Six of Duke’s 2026-27 non-conference opponents earned a No. 5 seed or better in the 2026 NCAA Tournament and finished among the top 25 of the final Associated Press poll.
The preseason calendar begins with Countdown to Craziness on Saturday, Oct. 3, at Cameron Indoor Stadium. Duke hosts Belmont for a scrimmage Thursday, Oct. 8, and Tennessee for an exhibition game Tuesday, Oct. 20, before traveling to Lawrence, Kansas, for an exhibition contest at Kansas on Sunday, Oct. 25.
Duke’s 18-game ACC schedule includes home-and-away series with designated rival North Carolina and repeat opponent Virginia. The remaining 14 conference games consist of seven home-only opponents and seven road-only opponents. The Blue Devils host California, Florida State, Miami, NC State, Notre Dame, Pitt and Stanford, while traveling to Boston College, Clemson, Georgia Tech, Louisville, SMU, Syracuse and Wake Forest.
Following the regular season, the top 15 teams in the final conference standings will advance to the 2027 ACC Men’s Basketball Tournament, held March 9-13 at First Horizon Coliseum in Greensboro.
Duke enters the 2026-27 campaign looking to build on one of the most successful two-year stretches in college basketball. Over the last two seasons, the Blue Devils have recorded consecutive 35-win campaigns, combining for a 70-7 overall record (.909) and a 36-2 mark in ACC play (.947). Duke is the only program in the nation with 70 victories and single-digit losses since the start of the 2024-25 season. During that span, the Blue Devils spent 32 weeks ranked among the Associated Press top five, including six weeks at No. 1.
Coming off a 35-3 campaign that included the program’s 26th Elite Eight appearance, 24th ACC Tournament championship and 22nd ACC regular-season title, Duke returns five players from last year’s team. Four of its top six scorers, Cayden Boozer, Caleb Foster, Patrick Ngongba II and Dame Sarr, are back after combining to help the returning nucleus account for 1,131 points, 533 rebounds and 311 assists last season. The Blue Devils also welcome three transfers and the nation’s second-ranked recruiting class.
