32 Arrested in Recent Durham Police Operation Autumn Guardian

The Durham Police Department’s Organized Crime Division, in partnership with the FBI Safe Streets Task Force, conducted Operation Autumn Guardian from October 21–23, 2026, in response to an increase in criminal activity in the Fayetteville Street Corridor, the 3400 block of Glasson Street, the 3600 block of Keystone Place, and the North Miami Boulevard Corridor.

 

The objective of Operation Autumn Guardian was to deter criminal activity through proactive enforcement efforts and a visible law enforcement presence. Officers conducted traffic stops, carried out “knock and talks” to locate wanted individuals and serve warrants, and engaged in foot patrols and citizen contacts to strengthen relationships with residents and encourage the reporting of criminal activity.

 

As a result of the operation, officers conducted 105 vehicle stops and made 32 arrests. Officers also seized 17 firearms, one firearm conversion device (“switch”), 533 grams of marijuana, 25 grams of crack cocaine, 1 gram of methamphetamine, less than a gram of fentanyl and $1,499 in cash.
