Coalition for Health Care of NC Hosts Dr. Richard Watkins

CHCNC is delighted to host Dr. Richard L Watkins to discuss “Your Health: Prevention, Access, and Innovation” and provide us with an update on the current coronavirus/COVID-19 public health crisis.

Dr. Watkins earned a bachelor’s degree in psychology from Fayetteville State University in 2007 and a Ph.D. in microbiology and immunology from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. He founded The Science Policy Action Network, Inc. (SPAN) in 2015, an organization that focuses on strengthening the relationship between science and society through enhancing science education, advocacy, and outreach, for the benefit of the people of North Carolina.

Parking is available behind the library, which is at 1201 Fayetteville St, or on adjacent streets. We’ll follow current recommendations to reduce the risk of contagion, including providing hand sanitizer and encouraging modest space between us (social distancing). Please join us and share!
