The Black Market is This Friday

DURHAM, NC – Redefining the “Black” in Black Friday. Join Parrish Street, LLC., J.Cardinal Events, The Underground Collective, and The Vault at the Palace International for the second year in a row they will hold the 2016 Black Market.

The Black Market is an annual marketplace for local, regional and national Black-owned businesses to gain exposure to new clientele and network with one another. The Black Market also provides educational opportunities to prospective business owners during the annual event.

This year’s event will feature dozens of Black Owned Businesses in one space, for a truly unique shopping experience. There will be live music, food, a space for children, a cafe, and a safe communal space for us to come together, re-circulate the black dollar and encourage economic support for our community.

So instead of going to the “big box” store on Black Friday, come get everything you need at The Black Market. This year’s event will be in a newly transformed space, customized just for the Black Market at 2010 Chapel Hill Rd. in Durham, NC (Lakewood Shopping Center).

Attendees should expect:

  • A diverse group of Black business vendors from around NC and the region;
  • Delicious local food from Black restaurant vendors;
  • Upbeat and soulful music as a sound track to your experience;
  • An opportunity to fellowship and build with local business owners and the Durham and surrounding community.

So be sure to RSVP HERE and share the event with all of your networks. Let’s continue to stand together, and strengthen our community, in peace, power, prosperity, and Love.

The Black August In The Park collective, is made up of four distinct organizations, who each use their own resources to help present this festival.  They are supported each year by gracious donors who make Black August in The Park possible.  They are still accepting donations for this year’s festival, and greatly appreciate any level of financial support.
