Flavor Flav Will Give O.J. His Statue Back… But There’s a Catch

Flavor Flav owns the real O.J. Simpson statue seen on ‘The People v. O.J. Simpson’

Flava Flav

Good news, bad news for O.J. Simpson
The Good News: Flavor Flav says he’s still in possession of Simpson’s famous statue of himself (the one featured in “The People Vs. O.J. Simpson”) and will gladly give it back to his old friend. The Bad News: If Simpson accepts Flav’s offer, Fred Goldman could get a judge to force O.J. to sell it immediately to pay off part of the judgment against him in the wrongful death case. Little backstory … the statue was seized from Simpson’s home and put up for auction in 1999 with the profits going toward paying off the $33.5 million judgment awarded to the families of Ron Goldman and Nicole Brown. The statue was purchased for $3,250 by radio host Mancow Muller — who later gifted it to Flav. But the Public Enemy rapper says he’d gladly return it to Simpson when he gets out of prison in October … if Simpson wants it back. Flav says he previously tried to return it but O.J. refused the gift — saying at the time, “They (meaning the Goldmans) would just take it away again.” There could be a TON of money at stake this time around — Flav has been shopping the statue with a 6-figure price tag. We’re told he’s received offers close to asking, but so far, no deal has been made. Stay tuned …

Memphitz Calls Out to Iyanla Vanzant for Help Fixing His Life
7-22-17 Entertainment News
Memphitz

Is Mickey “Memphitz” Wright going to be the next troubled celebrity to turn to Iyanla Vanzant for help fixing his life? He certainly hinted as much in an Instagram post that has since been deleted. “Somebody’s about to fix my life on TV,” read the post. “That’s all I got for now.” He also captioned the photo with: “You got some real questions, well I got some real answers. Some Good some Bad. But it will Be the Absolute #Truth > I mean, that’s all I got for ya > #GodsKid”

Many of you know that Memphitz has been shrouded with legal and financial trouble for the past few years. From domestic violence drama with his ex K. Michelle to exploding on his ex-wife Toya Wright on “Marriage Bootcamp,” the problems for this dude seem to keep mounting.K. Michelle alleges that Wright was physically abusive to her when they dated some years ago. He attempted to file a lawsuit against the singer, Mona Scott-Young and VH1 and Viacom, citing character assassination and slander after K. Michelle insinuated on “Love and Hip Hop Atlanta” that he used to beat her. Memphitz later admitted in court that he did have a physical altercation with her at a hotel in 2009.

Most recently, an aggravated assault charge against him was dismissed and Wright avoided spending 15 years in prison. You may recall back in June 2015, he evaded capture by Atlanta police and spent five days on the run before turning himself in for armed robbery and assault after a blow-up with a car wash attendant he accused of stealing weed from his car. When the man said he didn’t have the drugs, Memphitz brandished a firearm and allegedly said, “Your life or my weed.” By the time the police arrived on the scene, Wright had fled and a warrant was issued for his arrest.

He rejected a plea deal that included a 10-year prison sentence with 15 years probation in exchange for pleading guilty to armed robbery, aggravated assault with a deadly weapon, and possession of a firearm during the commission of a felony. The charges were eventually dismissed.

So it seems Memphitz may have plenty of personal issues that he would like to explore on an episode of “Fix My Life.”

Chance The Rapper

A Chance The Rapper show held on Friday (July 21) in Hartford, Connecticut ended with at least 90 people hospitalized for “severe intoxication,” according to the Hartford Courant. Hartford Deputy Chief Brian Foley said officers also cited 50 concert attendees for underage drinking at a Hot 93.7 Hot Jam concert, which also featured performances from PnB Rock, Kyle and ANoyd.

In two separate videos Deputy Foley posted to Twitter, it’s clear the crowd was in a celebratory mood, but evidently things got out of control. Foley said people were tailgating, partying and excessive alcohol consumption was “extremely prevalent.” Police made several arrests and ambulances were called in to rush dozens of concertgoers to various local hospitals to receive emergency medical treatment. Over 21,000 people attended the sold-out concert.
