Firsthand Perspective

“We came out and we really moved the basketball and that was a point of emphasis,” Eagles head coach LeVelle Moton said. “Just moving the basketball. We haven’t been shooting the ball well because we haven’t passed the ball well. Any good shooting team in the world is going to be a good passing team.”

“It feels good,” Miller Jr. said when asked about his seven made 3-pointers. “I gotta give it up to my points guards Julian (Walters) and Perk (Perkins). They just found me and after I made one they just kept telling me ‘shoot it! shoot it!’ and they were finding me. It felt good.”

“It was huge, it’s always huge,” said Moton when asked about Davis’ performance. “He’s supposed to be the preseason player of the year, or whatever they call it, in the MEAC and we demand greatness from him.”
