West Durham Baptist Church’s HBCU Quiz: How Many Can You Answer…Correctly?

Durham, NC – In March of each year, the members of the West Durham Baptist Church (WDBC) acknowledge and salute the nation’s Historically Black Colleges and Universities (HBCUs).

HBCUs have performed … and continue to perform … an extremely vital role in the quest for higher education in so many parts of the United States.

Beyond the church’s annual recognition, the WDBC members want to extend the emphasis on HBCUs by creating and sharing a fun and informational quiz for the entire community during April.

Since HBCUs are open to everyone, this quiz, also, is open to everyone, without regard to race, creed, or color.  There are no age barriers for this HBCU Quiz.

Individuals, clubs, schools, organizations, and any other combination of persons are encouraged to participate and to submit answers.  However, one individual has to be listed as the contact person for each submission.

Directions:

  1. Please review and provide the current name of the HBCU that matches the 25 questions and/or descriptions of the quiz.
  2. Please submit a sheet that lists the contact person’s name, e-mail address and/or telephone number along with the numbered HBCU that matches the description of the quiz.
  3. Personal information will not be used for any purpose beyond this quiz.
  4. The postmarked deadline for mailed submissions is Tuesday, April 30 or earlier. Address mailed submissions to: WDBC, 1901 Athens Avenue, Durham, NC 27707.
  5. The deadline for e-mailed submissions is 11:59 PM on Tuesday, April 30 or earlier. E-mailed submissions to:  westdurham1901@gmail.com
  6. The submission with the most correct answers will be declared the winner. In case of a tie, each of the winning submissions will be recognized.
  7. Winners will be contacted and announced in early May.
