The result: your movie experience redefined where 2-Tone creates a live soundtrack, accentuating scenes with special DJ techniques. Catch the Triangle’s only show of this kind in Cary on August 2!
Since December 2013 over 50 films have been screened at CAN I KICK IT? events hosted monthly in Washington, DC [at Songbyrd Music House], in addition to several others featured at notable venues, institutions, and events across the country. Those films range from early ‘Kung-Fu Theater’ style Shaw Bros. titles to blockbuster hit films and contemporary classics such as Big Trouble in Little China, The Raid, Kill Bill, and The Matrix.
In 2017 we teamed up with the Downtown DC Business Improvement District to produce the first annual Can I Kick It? outdoor film screening series at Freedom Plaza, which brought out over 1000 people in attendance. In August 2018 it was featured at the 23rd Annual Made in Hong Kong Film Festival presented by the Smithsonian’s Freer Gallery of Art. Our screening of the Shaw Bros. classic, Legendary Weapons of Kung Fu, was the most well-attended film of the festival. And in December of that same year Can I Kick It? featured a special screening of the 1979 cult classic film, The Warriors, at the Kennedy Center to a sold-out audience of over 450 attendees.
