[Trailer] RAISING DION: Perfect Series For Family About Young Boy With Superpowers

In Netflix’s new series, Raising Dion, a widowed mom sets out to solve the mystery surrounding her young son’s emerging superpowers while keeping his extraordinary gifts under wraps.

The series starts out with its young hero slowing downtime over spilled milk. The hero is Dion (Ja’Siah Young), a second grader with superpowers that kick in, in one case, after he trips while carrying a bowl of cereal.

He’ll soon need to use them in more sinister circumstances: The story, adapted from a comic book by Dennis Liu, involves Dion fighting a villain. It also devotes much of its time to the relationship between Dion and his mother, Nicole (Alisha Wainwright), who tries to determine the origin of the powers. Michael B. Jordan is an executive producer of the series and appears in a supporting role.
