While MedAssist usually has large scale Mobile Free Pharmacy events across the state each week. They had to take a step back and reevaluate how we are getting the much-needed over·the-counter medicine to individuals and families who are in need,” said Misty Moore, Senior Development Director. “We are working with the Community Health Coalition to really target those most affected and in need, and then curating an OTC Drop specifically for them. This is a response that is working well so far.”

The Mobile Free Pharmacy Program served 38,384 individuals last year across 43 counties. OTC Drops provide enough medicine to serve up to 1,000 individuals similar to the previous events. Each community determines local safety-net organizations that are open and actively serving the public to be drop points for the medicine.
