RALEIGH, NC – For years, African American activists have pushed the importance of support for black-owned small businesses. Black Dollar NC founder Johnny Hackett and his team decided to take action with their activism. This group of motivated Raleigh individuals created a website, Blackdollar.ninja, to promote small minority businesses, with a focus on those located in the state of North Carolina. The well browsable site shares information and promotes online sales that help boost popularity and profit for those businesses.

Black Dollar NC has now launched a new store in the heart of the capital city. Black Friday Market is a retail store that mirrors the mission of the website, and so much more. Black Friday Market creates opportunities for black entrepreneurs to sell their products both in-store and online. All types of vendors are welcome and supported. Items for purchase range from apparel and jewelry to sculptures, paintings, and home decorations. Vendors and small businesses pay one starting fee and no commission on any products sold, creating a 100% profit for the vendor. The retail store is managed by Executive Director Jasmine Bullock and members of Black Dollar NC.

As of right now, the store is only accepting vendor applications under one-month subscriptions to sell products in-store. This gives more opportunities for many entrepreneurs in the area and shoppers who like to indulge in new products.

While Black Dollar NC makes amazing strides to help the black dollar stay in the black community, the team promotes other groups and stores that support the same vision. Other similar teams in the area have also given supportive retail help for small minority businesses and are listed on BlackDollar.ninja as well. A surge of new minority dreamers and activists are coming together for the good of the whole.

Black Friday Market is located in Downtown Raleigh at 23 West Hargett Street. The store is open 7 days a week to the public. For more information, visit Black Friday Market.
