Rams Homecoming Prediction Versus Livingstone College
Winston-Salem NC – The WSSU Rams (2-4, 2-2 CIAA) are set to host the Livingstone College Blue Bears this Saturday for their Homecoming game at 1:00 PM at Bowman Gray Stadium.
With Homecoming bringing a unique component to this game, I think the Rams will come out to play and look to defend their home turf in such a meaningful game for the team and university as a whole.
After winning two of their last three games, the Rams are playing with much more confidence and are averaging just under 34 points per game in that span. Last week, the Rams totaled 367 yards of total offense, 200 of those coming on the ground.
Last week, Junior Quarterback Cameron Lewis totaled 187 all-purpose yards against St. Augustine’s, punching in three touchdowns passes and tacking on another on the ground. However, Lewis’s elusiveness and ability to be a dual-threat QB and make plays with both his legs and arm, I think, will be too much for the Bears to handle come Saturday.
CIAA receiver of the week, freshman Antjuan Collins is bound to produce in a higher volume this week after catching seven passes for 50 yards and two touchdowns in last week’s victory. Collins is playing with so much confidence, and it will be interesting to see if he can replicate his production against the Bears defense.
Senior Linebacker Ta’shaun Taylor, essentially the captain of the Rams defensive unit, totaled six total tackles, a sack, and two tackles for losses last week. I believe that his leadership capability for this defense will be put on display Saturday and could affect the game’s outcome. Taylor is the type of guy to put his team on his back when it matters most. It will be interesting to see just how much he can do that in the Homecoming game Saturday.
With the Rams led by Lewis, Collins, and Taylor, I truly believe this team will put together a complete performance on all three phases of the football and record their third victory of the 2021 season. Final score prediction, 24-12 Rams.
