Carolyn E. Henderson is the Immediate Past Chair of the Lincoln Community Health Center Foundation, Inc. Board of Directors. Ms. Henderson served as Director of Education Services at Duke Regional Hospital and Associate Director of Duke University Health System. She was in the last graduating class of the Lincoln Hospital School of Nursing and has been in leadership positions for several professional nursing organizations.

Tickets are $50 per person and sponsorships start at $250. To register visit www.lincolnchcf.org or call 919-956-4004. Proceeds benefit the new Lincoln Community Health Clinic at Lakewood.

The legacy award luncheon has not been held in person since 2019. However, Lincoln has been busy as ever responding to the COVID-19 pandemic. In March 2020, Lincoln adjusted all services, which included drastically reducing indoor capacity, creating a separate entrance to screen patients prior to entering the building, moving patients to telehealth, and providing PPE to all staff. Lincoln was among the first in Durham to implement drive-up testing for the community. When the vaccine became available in early 2021, Lincoln was among the first locations to widely offer the vaccine in Durham. Lincoln has administered over 15,000 doses to a largely low-income population, becoming one of the top vaccination sites in Durham.
