Duke blows out Georgia Tech as five players score in double figures

ATLANTA, GA — Five Blue Devils players scored in double-digit figures as Duke defeated conference foe Georgia Tech 86-43 on Saturday afternoon.

Duke (15-6, 6-4 ACC) bounces back in this matchup with the Yellow Jackets after losing to Virginia Tech on the road on Monday. Georgia Tech has now lost nine of their last ten games and is just 1-11 in conference play.

Kyle Filiposki put in 18 points and seven rebounds and Jeremy Roach scored 12 points and grabbed five rebounds, leading the way for Duke. Tyrese Proctor also had a career-high eight assists. Tristan Maxwell lead the Yellow Jackets with 10 points.

The Blue Devils won big despite being without freshman forward Dariq Whitehead, who did not play due to a lower leg injury sustained in their loss to Virginia Tech.

This Georgia Tech (8-13, 1-10 ACC) loss serves as the largest loss at home for the program in 40 years.

Duke hopes to keep their winning ways going heading into next week as they take on Wake Forest at home in Cameron Indoor Stadium on Tuesday at 7 PM ET on ESPN.
