Raleigh Police Make Free Steering Wheel Locks Available To Hyundai, Kia Owners
RALEIGH – Due to current social media challenges, the Raleigh Police Department is offering free steering wheel locks to the owners of 2011-2022 Kia and Hyundai vehicles. The locks are for those vehicles requiring a steel key to turn and start the ignition.
Individuals who wish to receive a free steering wheel lock should go to a Raleigh Police Department district station between 9:00 a.m. and 4:00 p.m., Monday through Friday. The Downtown and North District stations are open 24 hours daily if someone needs to pick up a lock after 4:00 p.m.
Individuals will need to show a vehicle registration to verify that they own a Kia or Hyundai.
Each district station will have a limited supply of steering wheel locks.
