Former Duke QB Leonard Riley Chooses Notre Dame

On Tuesday morning, the former Duke Blue Devil quarterback Riley Leonard announced that he would be joining the Notre Dame Fighting Irish football program for the 2024 season.

In 20 career games (14 starts), Leonard has completed 287-of-454 (.632) passes for 3,348 yards with 21 TDs and seven INTs. He owns a career pass efficiency rating of 137.35 and has rushed 171 times for 872 yards (5.09) and 15 TDs.

Leonard has compiled 4,220 yards of total offense and owns career per game averages of 43.60 rushing yards, 167.40 passing yards and 211.00 total offensive yards. He also holds a career TD responsibility of 36 (15 rush & 21 pass) and has scored 90 points on 15 rushing TDs

Leonard has recorded 300+ yards of total offense in five games including a career-high 406 (15 rush & 391 pass) against Wake Forest in 2022.

The Alabama-native has accounted for multiple TDs in 10 games including a career-high four on four occasions against North Carolina A&T (2022), Miami (2022), Pittsburgh (2022) and Wake Forest (2022) and has thrown multiple TD passes in five games including a career-high four versus Wake Forest in 2022. Riley has also rushed for multiple TDs in four games including a career-high three against Miami in 2022
