The Magic of African Rhythm set to perform this weekend
DURHAM, NC — The Magic of African Rhythm comes to the Carolina Theatre of Durham on April 20 at 11 am as part of the theater’s Family Saturday Series.
Acclaimed for their unique ability to engage audiences around the world, The Magic of African Rhythm honors the vibrancy of Africa’s many rhythms through the Dundun, Sangban, and Kenkeni drums, connecting the past to the present. Meaningful stories are told in both authentic song and original dance choreography. Drums, dance, costumes, song, and story carry audiences across the colorful spectrum of the entire continent, culminating with audience members on stage for jubilant celebration!
Family Saturday Series is an educational program that provides high-quality, affordable arts experiences and introduces young audiences to the excitement of live performances, music, storytelling, and magic. The series offers family-friendly programming for all ages one Saturday a month.
