Male Stabbed & Killed in Raleigh

This incident is being investigated as a homicide. A 17-year-old male was taken into custody and charged with murder on a petition.

The identity of the victim will not be released pending next of kin notification.

On April 16, at approximately 3:15 PM, the Raleigh Police Department responded to a reported stabbing in the 4400 block of New Bern Avenue. An adult male was transported to the hospital with serious injuries.

A person has been taken into custody.

The ongoing investigation is impacting traffic on New Bern Avenue and Corporation Parkway. Drivers are advised to seek an alternate route.
