Forbes Advisor also gave top honors to the university’s online RN-BSN program, which ranked No. 1 in the state and No. 3 in the nation. The program is designed for registered nurses who are licensed to practice in North Carolina.

The nursing program recently partnered with Project Kitty Hawk, a nonprofit ed-tech startup that aids the University of North Carolina System universities in serving adult learners. In 2021, the state budget allocated $97 million for the effort.
