Durham Crimestoppers Launches Online Tip Submission and P3 Mobile App

DURHAM, NC – The Durham community can now contact Durham Crimestoppers anonymously at durhamcrimestoppers.org. Tipsters can submit information online, follow up on their submitted tips, and download the P3 mobile app. 

CrimeStoppers pays cash rewards of up to $2,000 for information leading to arrests in felony cases, and citizens never have to identify themselves. CrimeStoppers originated as a tip line, 919-683-1200, that gives tipsters an avenue to report criminal activity anonymously. It is a partnership between the media, law enforcement agencies, and the community working together to solve crime. Callers are encouraged, via cash rewards and a promise of anonymity, to provide information. 

Tipsters are advised not to leave their name, phone number, or any information that may compromise their identity when utilizing the new online system. Due to the nature of digital media, please do not upload video or images that may compromise anonymity or location. The P3 system utilized by Crimestoppers strips embedded digital media to protect tipster anonymity; however, the content of the file is not filtered.
