Durham Police Seek Help Identifying Suspect Behind Business Break-Ins

DURHAM, NC — Durham Police investigators are asking for the public’s help in identifying a suspect believed to be behind a string of business break-ins across the city between July 15 and July 25, 2025. The suspect, seen in recently obtained surveillance footage, is connected to at least five incidents that resulted in property damage and, in some cases, stolen cash.

Break-In Timeline & Locations

Authorities are linking the following incidents to the same individual:

• July 15 – 500 block of North Mangum Street
• July 22 – 300 block of West Geer Street
• July 22 – 800 block of North Mangum Street
• July 23 – 400 block of East Chapel Hill Street
• July 25 – 2000 block of North Roxboro Street

Investigators believe the same suspect is responsible for the break-ins, which occurred during non-business hours and primarily targeted businesses in high-traffic commercial areas.
