The actions of one employee do not define the Raleigh Police Department or the dedicated men and women who serve this community every day. Our department remains committed to serving Raleigh with professionalism, integrity, accountability, and the highest ethical standards.
Like any individual charged with a criminal offense, Reed will be subject to the judicial process, where the allegations against him will be reviewed and adjudicated accordingly. We will continue to uphold the standards expected of every member of this department and remain committed to maintaining the public’s trust.”
