‘Aggie Strong’: NC A&T’s New Student Owned and Operated Fitness Company
GREENSBORO, NC – There is a new fitness brand on North Carolina Agricultural and Technical State University‘s campus, operated by area HBCU students. Aggie Strong LLC is a nationwide fitness company that focuses on helping others reach their fitness and personal goals. Their mission is to “Uplift the physical, mental, and spiritual aspects of each and every client. ‘Rise to the challenge’ and become Aggie Strong!”
The owner of Aggie Strong LLC is Rogdricus Neely, a senior chemical engineering honor student from Rock Hill, South Carolina. He started Aggie Strong as a small class in a studio room and it is now a nationwide fitness program. Neely along with his brand ambassadors helps clients meet their fitness goals while creating an enjoyable atmosphere.
The company not only caters to college students but extends out to all people looking to embrace a fit lifestyle. Clients can range from ages 10 to 80 and each has fitness plans created for their physical capabilities. Neely was initially inspired by other businesses on campus and decided to create his brand offering fitness training along with selling workout plans and clothes. Workout plans vary from 3-4 days and personal one-on-one training is catered to fit the needs and fitness goals of individual clients. Training sessions are weekly and range from one session to monthly sessions.
Aggie Strong prides itself on offering great prices as much of its clientele are college students who have smaller budgets to spend on fitness training. This makes the business easily accessible with its affordable price and its convenient location, the campus recreational center. However, they do offer training outside of campus at any location suited for workouts.
Neely says, “What makes the business most rewarding is connecting with other students and building relationships with my clients… we know we can combat all our problems together.”
Because the company is based on campus, there is a family-friendly environment embedded in the business. When working with fitness program, one can expect to receive intimate training while building meaningful relationships along the way. Workouts can even begin in prayer to set a grounded beginning as the company places emphasis on uplifting the physical, mental, and spiritual aspects of every client.
The company also values community engagement around North Carolina. Neely and the Aggie Strong Ambassadors frequently donate to the community, raise money, and bring awareness to different causes. They even collaborated with other businesses and donated all proceeds to a scholarship fund.
