ALEXANDRIA, VA. – Emily M. Dickens, chief of staff, head of government affairs, and corporate secretary for SHRM (the Society for Human Resource Management), will join Spectacular Magazine as a guest contributor focused on workplace issues. Dickens’ first article “Senior Executive Lookahead: The Top Five Issues for 2022″ will appear on the Spectacular Magazine website and social media pages on Friday, February 18th.

A graduate of North Carolina Central University and North Carolina Central University School of Law, Dickens maintains strong ties to the Triangle and local business, education, and government leaders.

“I’m delighted to share insights on issues impacting today’s evolving workplaces with the Spectacular audience,” said Dickens. “Organizations everywhere were forced to adapt and reinvent themselves through all the uncertainty of the last two years, and change will remain a constant in 2022. I want to be a resource as we navigate the road ahead, providing tools for readers to cause the effect they want to have on our workplaces and communities.”

Based in Alexandria, Va., SHRM advocates on behalf of its more than 300,000 HR professional and business executive members globally on issues impacting work, workers, and the workplace. SHRM members have a critical leadership role in their organizations, especially during the COVID-19 pandemic.

A member of SHRM’s executive team, Dickens has oversight for implementing the CEO’s vision, corporate governance, global outreach, government affairs, and the organization’s buildings and property.
