17-Year-Old Victim Identified in Durham Fatal Shooting Investigation
DURHAM, NC – The Durham Police Department has identified the victim in a fatal shooting that took place early Wednesday morning (Nov. 13) as a 17-year-old male. The incident unfolded shortly after midnight near Lednum Street and Leon Street, where police initially responded to reports of gunfire.
A few minutes later, officers were notified that a male victim with life-threatening injuries had been transported to a nearby hospital by private vehicle. Officers subsequently discovered a second male victim in the 2300 block of Lednum Street. This victim, later identified as the 17-year-old, was pronounced dead at the scene.
The investigation is ongoing, and authorities have not released further details at this time.
