Durham Police Investigating Fatal Shooting on Hillsborough Road
Durham, NC — The Durham Police Department is investigating a fatal shooting on Hillsborough Road Tuesday evening that left one man dead.
At approximately 7:18 p.m. on August 26, 2025, officers responded to a report of a gunshot wound in the 3700 block of Hillsborough Road. When patrol units arrived, they found an adult male victim suffering from injuries consistent with a gunshot wound.
Officers attempted lifesaving measures until EMS arrived, but the victim was pronounced deceased at the scene.
Ongoing Investigation
Investigators remained on scene late Tuesday night, working to determine the circumstances surrounding the shooting. Police have not yet released the victim’s identity, and no suspect information has been provided at this time.
Authorities emphasized that the investigation is ongoing and further details will be released as they become available.
